Jennifer Spencer, MSW, RSW
Individual & Family Therapist
Jennifer is an adolescent and adult therapist with Elements CTS LTD. She
completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work at the University of
Manitoba Northern Social Work Program and her Master’s in Social Work from
Lakehead University with a focus in Clinical Social Work in the north with
Indigenous peoples. Jennifer is registered with the Manitoba College of
Social Work (MCSW) and is a member of the Canadian Association of Social
Workers (CASW).
Jennifer has experience working in the following areas; adult and
adolescent mental health, domestic violence, anger management, stress
management, addictions, trauma, advocacy and restorative justice.
Jennifer has extensive experience working in rural, remote and Indigenous
communities. In her practice Jennifer utilizes a person centered,
strengths based, trauma informed, anti-oppressive approach focusing on
cognitive behavioral therapy, brief solution focused therapy, crisis
intervention, motivational interviewing and psychoeducation.
Jennifer provides comprehensive assessments and offers short-term and
longer term treatment. She provides a safe, confidential, non-judgmental
environment for individuals to work towards obtaining their optimum level
of wellbeing.
Jennifer specializes in providing mental health therapy to adults and
adolescents in areas of anxiety, depression and psychosis. She has worked
in Indigenous and non-Indigenous remote northern communities providing
mental health services in individual and group settings. She actively
incorporates Indigenous perspectives and bio-psycho-social-spiritual model
of care into her practice.
